Liam F. Timoney is a partner in the firm’s Business Law Department and a member of its Private Equity group.

Experience

Mr. Timoney focuses on the representation of private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies in a wide range of corporate transactions, including leveraged acquisitions, growth equity investments and cross-border transactions. In addition, Mr. Timoney has experience advising private equity funds on general governance and adversarial matters.  Mr. Timoney regularly advises clients on transactions involving the healthcare, pharmaceutical, technology and media industries.

Professional Activities

Mr. Timoney is a member and a former officer and director of the Saint Andrew’s Society of the State of New York.

Professional Experience

Prior to joining Goodwin, Mr. Timoney was an associate at Debevoise & Plimpton LLP in its Corporate Department, where he focused on mergers and acquisitions.
