Goodwin’s Asia Practice Recognized as Key Player in India

For the ninth consecutive year Goodwin has been named a leading international firm for India-related work in a special report by India Business Law Journal. The 10th edition of the annual report highlights the achievements and activities of law firms around the world, focusing on transactions or cases with an India connection. Goodwin has been ranked every year since the Hong Kong office opened in 2008.

The IBLJ lists Goodwin in its top “Key Players” category, recognizing Hong Kong Office Chair and private investment funds partner Yash Rana for his reputation among Indian companies and law firms and for his “solid track record on India-focused private equity mandates,” as well as noting the addition of partners Michael Halford, Ajay Pathak, Shawn D’Aguiar and Arnaud David to the firm’s “thriving private equity practice.” The publication also notes Goodwin’s impressive fund, M&A and capital markets work, citing the firm’s representation of Falcon Edge Capital in a series I funding for Olacabs, TA Associates in its investment in Fincare Business Services, and Tata Communications in the sale of its data center businesses to a subsidiary of Singapore Technologies Telemedia (also named a 2016 “Deal of the Year” by IBLJ).
