Goodwin Recognized by the TMA Turnaround and Transaction of the Year Awards

The Turnaround Management Association’s (“TMA”) 2019 Turnaround and Transaction of the Year Awards recognized Goodwin partner Michael Goldstein for his work as counsel for client Gibson Brands, Inc. in its chapter 11 restructuring, which was named Mid-Size Company Transaction of the Year at the TMA Annual Conference in Cleveland, Ohio on September 26. The Turnaround and Transaction of the Year Awards employ a rigorous peer review process to select the leading professionals in the corporate restructuring, renewal, and corporate health space.

Goldstein is a partner and co-chair of Goodwin’s Financial Restructuring practice. He represents debtors, sponsors, bondholders, creditors, committees and purchasers of distressed assets across a variety of industries, and has been featured in Chambers USA and The Legal 500 United States. Goldstein is a Fellow of the American College of Bankruptcy and a contributing author to Collier on Bankruptcy, Chapter 9 (“Adjustment of Debts of a Municipality”).

Fox is also a partner in Goodwin’s Financial Restructuring practice, where he represents debtors, creditors, committees, investors, purchasers, and other parties-in-interest in bankruptcy proceedings, out-of-court restructurings and insolvency-related litigations. He was named a Rising Star in Bankruptcy by Super Lawyers in 2017.
