Goodwin Highly Ranked by Chambers Asia-Pacific 2020

Chambers Asia-Pacific has recognized the firm and its lawyers for excellence across numerous practice areas. Three Goodwin partners were named as leading lawyers in the directory’s 2020 edition, and three practice areas were singled out for distinction.

Chambers ranked Goodwin in the Corporate / M&A (India) category, citing the firm as the “go-to choice for many inbound venture capital and private equity clients, especially from the US market.” The publication also ranked Goodwin’s Corporate / M&A: Private Equity (Asia-Pacific) practice, praising it as “frequently sought out by major players in the private equity sphere,” as well as the firm’s Private Equity: Buyouts & Venture Capital Investment (China) practice, which was called “the most dependable firm” for clients' most “complex and time-sensitive matters."

Hong Kong office chair Yash Rana was recognized for Corporate / M&A (India) and Private Equity: Buyouts & Venture Capital Investment (China), with the guide noting that he offers “unbelievable clients service” and the unique ability to “understand and address clients’ needs.”

Chambers ranked partner Wendy Pan in Life Sciences (China), stating that “she has great expertise in biotech," as well as a "deep understanding about the life sciences industry and thorough but pragmatic approaches in problem identifying and problem solving."

Partner Douglas Freeman was recognized for Private Equity: Buyouts & Venture Capital Investment (China), and was noted for providing “strong personalized client service," and being "very smart about structuring positive solutions to difficult situations."
