The Paris Private Equity team is advising the Rossignol Group on the proposed sale of its cycling and automatic pedals business line, TIME Sport International (a subsidiary of Skis-Rossignol) and its Slovakian subsidiary CARBOPRAX to WhaTTfornow, an e-bike startup in Haute-Savoie.
The Rossignol Group and WhaTTfornow have reached an agreement for the latter’s acquisition of the industrial and commercial activities of the Time pedal and high-end bicycle brand, to take effect this summer, subject to proper clearance of related financing.
The Rossignol Group offers the consumer a portfolio of strong and diversified brands consisting of innovative products to accompany them year-round in their winter athletic pursuits as well as their summer and urban activities. Time is a market leader in automatic pedals and offers high-end road bikes based on RTM carbon frame technology. This entirely in-house technology is manufactured in Slovakia at Time's wholly owned subsidiary, Carboprax, which will also be sold to the purchaser.
