Goodwin Adds to Data, Privacy & Cybersecurity Practice with Partner Kaylee Cox Bankston in Washington, D.C.

Global law firm Goodwin today announced that Kaylee Cox Bankston joined the firm’s Data, Privacy & Cybersecurity practice as a partner, resident in the Washington, D.C., office.

“As the growing sophistication and volume of cyber incidents increase risks for clients, they continue to turn to us for strategic incident preparedness and response across a complex global regulatory environment,” said Boris Segalis, a partner in Goodwin’s Data, Privacy & Cybersecurity practice. “Kaylee’s extensive experience with cyber counseling, investigations, and litigation brings invaluable support to our clients. We are thrilled to welcome her to the firm.”

Bankston focuses her practice on complex cybersecurity matters, including cyber risk assessments, incident response and preparation, and security counseling. Bankston also advises corporate boards on cyber governance and risk management and defends clients in regulatory investigations and class action litigation that arise out of cyber incidents.

With the addition of Bankston, Goodwin’s Data, Privacy & Cybersecurity practice continues to add strength to its strategic cyber incident and response practice. Earlier in 2022, the firm welcomed former federal prosecutor and cyber investigations partner Jud Welle in New York.

The practice is recognized for excellence by The Legal 500.
