A team of Goodwin Procter attorneys recently advised Epic Health Services, a portfolio company of Webster Capital, on its acquisition of Loving Care Agency. The deal will expand Epic’s presence in pediatric health care to serve patients in 10 states. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Founded in 2001 and based in Dallas, Tx. Epic Health Services is a provider of pediatric nursing and therapy services, as well as adult home health services, including skilled nursing, therapy, personal care and behavioral health nursing. With 42 locations in five states, Epic provided over six million hours of care in 2013.
Headquartered in Hasbrouck Heights, N.J., Loving Care Agency is one of the largest providers of pediatric homecare in the country. Clinicians in its pediatric division provide services that allow medically fragile children and adults to be cared for in their home environment.
The Goodwin deal team representing Epic was led by John LeClaire and included partners Jennifer Merrigan Fay, David Patton, Anna Dodson and Joel Lehrer, former partner Matt Walsh, and associates Alexandra Denniston, Dan White, Peter Hanoian, Lynette Elam and Tim Holahan.
