Navigating the New Privacy Frontier Post-Roe: Challenges and Takeaways for FemTech Companies (Practising Law Institute)

FemTech (female health technology), a term covering a wide range of products, services and technologies that cater to women’s health, including apps, telemedicine platforms health applications and wearable devices, plays a significant role in improving healthcare for those identifying as female across a broad range of female-specific conditions, including reproductive and maternal health, GYN cancers, and menopause, as well as a number of general health conditions that affect women disproportionately or differently (such as osteoporosis or cardiovascular disease). Over the past few years, the sector has seen increasing growth. Depending on scope, estimates for FemTech’s market size range from $500 million to $1 billion, and forecasts suggest opportunities for double-digit revenue growth. Data, Privacy & Cybersecurity partner Jacqueline Klosek and associate Federica De Santis, and Women’s Health & Wellness discuss more in Practising Law Institute.
