Global Data Review Names Goodwin an Elite Firm in GDR 100 2024

Goodwin was recognized in the 2024 edition of Global Data Review’s GDR 100 as one of the best data law firms in the world. GDR selected Goodwin as among only 25 international firms that regularly provide the most cutting-edge advice to global clients. The ranking examines not only law firms’ privacy and data protection capabilities, but also their work on all other kinds of data law.

GDR 100 highlighted the growth of Goodwin’s “transatlantic practice” and “full spectrum of data privacy and cybersecurity legal services,” as well as the firm’s ability to “adapt to new and emerging software and its resulting scrutiny.” It also noted the exceptional work of Goodwin lawyers, including Lore Leitner, Omer Tene, Gretchen Scott, Jon Olsen, Jia Jia Huang, Michele Maney, Anthony McCusker, Jennifer Chunias, and Emily Unger.

Goodwin’s Data, Privacy & Cybersecurity practice focuses on lifecycle counselling and advice, privacy and cybersecurity support for capital markets transactions and public M&A, cyber incident preparedness and response, and defense in individual and class action privacy and cybersecurity litigation, as well as complex U.S. and cross-border government and regulatory investigations and enforcement actions. The team also works closely with leading cybersecurity and forensic investigation firms, as well as federal law enforcement, regarding cybersecurity investigations, threat intelligence, and law enforcement efforts surrounding high-profile cyber threat actor groups and other matters of national security.

Global Data Review is the leading publication analyzing the law and regulation of the use and trade of data around the world.
