AI Playbook a Major Value Creation Lever, says HarbourVest; Deal Structures Face Innovation Pressure (PE HUB)

PE Hub caught up with Goodwin partners Carl Bradshaw and Jan Schinköth to learn what sort of conversations the law firm is having with its private equity clients. Transformation isn’t limited to tech companies. There is pressure to be innovative in the way deals are put together, Goodwin partners Carl Bradshaw and Jan Schinköth said. “There’s a constant pressure to discover new deal technology someone else hasn’t thought of or pursued to the same extent,” said Bradshaw, who is based in the firm’s London office. Munich-based Schinköth has noted an increased interest from his clients to tap into Goodwin’s network. “Particularly in Germany, where many of the smaller companies in the so-called Mittelstand are a bit under the radar,” he said. Bradshaw described the deal environment as fairly benign since the April tariff announcement. “If anything, the market has come to expect political outbursts and regulatory developments without them completely knocking off deal activity,” he added.
