New England Legal Awards Recognize Goodwin Partners Across Key Categories
Five Goodwin partners have been recognized in Law.com’s 2026 New England Legal Awards, which honor attorneys and firms across the region.
Minta Kay was named a Lifetime Achievement Winner, Mitchell Bloom and Kingsley Taft were named Distinguished Leaders, Blake Liggio was selected as a finalist for Merger and Acquisition Attorney of the Year, and Stephanie Richards was named a Rising Star for Massachusetts.
Minta is a partner and was a longtime leader of the firm’s Real Estate industry group. She represents institutional investors, tax-exempts, real estate funds, and owner/operators in complex real estate transactions, including joint ventures, debt origination and restructuring, portfolio transactions, developments, and acquisitions. In the past five years, she has closed more than 55 real estate transactions totaling over $12.5 billion. Minta also founded and co-leads Goodwin’s PropTech Practice, advising start-ups, growth companies, venture capital investors, and end users at the intersection of technology and the built environment.
Mitch is global chair of the firm’s Life Sciences practice. He represents public and private life sciences companies, venture capital firms, and investment banks, advises on corporate matters and major transactions, including public offerings, M&A, venture financings, and strategic commercial transactions. Mitchell is also a member of Goodwin’s global Executive Committee.
Kingsley is a partner and co-chair of the firm’s Life Sciences industry group. Recognized for 25 years as a leading life sciences attorney, he represents companies across all stages of growth on formation, venture financings, collaborations, M&A, IPOs, capital markets transactions, royalty monetizations, and other commercial matters. He is the current chair of the Partnership Committee, a member of Goodwin’s global Executive Committee, and a former member of the Allocations and Executive committees.
Blake is a partner in the firm’s M&A/Corporate Governance practice. He advises public and private companies, boards, transaction committees, and investment banks on US and cross-border M&A and other strategic transactions, with experience across the real estate, life sciences, technology, and financial services industries. Blake is a member of the firm’s Global M&A Steering Committee and serves on the Attorney Review Committee and ESG Steering Committee.
Stephanie is a partner in the firm’s Life Sciences industry group, counseling private and public companies at all life cycle stages. She has extensive experience with startup and formation matters, venture capital and growth financings, initial public offerings, capital markets transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and other complex transactions. She also advises publicly traded biotechnology companies and their boards on SEC compliance, capital raising, and corporate governance matters, while representing life sciences-focused venture capital firms in portfolio company investments and exits.
Honorees and finalists will be celebrated at a gala in Boston on October 8, 2026, where winners in finalist categories will be announced.
