Goodwin Grows Real Estate Funds Platform in Philly Office (Law360 Pulse)

An attorney with more than 15 years of experience advising clients on complex real estate transactions has moved her practice to Goodwin’s Philadelphia office. Rebecca Lock has joined Goodwin this week as a partner in the Real Estate practice and the Investment Funds and Capital group, the firm announced Tuesday. Lock said in a statement to Law360 Pulse on Thursday afternoon that she is “excited” to help continue to build Goodwin’s funds practice. “The opportunity to join Goodwin’s industry-leading real estate funds platform and to help build the firm’s real estate funds practice in Philadelphia was hard to pass up,” Lock said in her statement. “I love working with sponsors on complex issues and coming up with creative solutions that work for both sponsors and their investors. I particularly enjoy working with managers as they work to grow their business.” John Ferguson, a Goodwin partner who leads the investment funds and capital group, said in a prepared statement that the firm is “delighted” to welcome Lock. “Becca is a highly regarded advisor to real estate fund sponsors, with strong experience across fund formation, raising capital, and complex investment structures,” Ferguson said. “Her arrival will further strengthen our market-leading position in the real estate funds market and enhance our ability to advise sponsors and investors on sophisticated transactions.”
