Adam J. Horowitz is an associate in Goodwin’s IP Litigation Department and a member of the firm’s Cannabis practice. His practice focuses on cannabis law and litigation. Adam has represented emerging companies, multistate operators, and adjacent (i.e., non-plant touching) companies in regulatory, compliance, and licensing matters. As a litigator, Adam has extensive experience in federal and state court, as well as in arbitration.
Experience
- Represent and assist multiple cannabis operators in securing cultivation, manufacturing, and dispensary licenses from the New Jersey Cannabis Regulatory Commission
- Negotiate Management Services Agreement on behalf of cannabis operator
- Prepare compliance plan and best practices guidance for national marketing firm’s cannabis practice
- Represent non-plant touching company in employment matter concerning non-compete and non-solicitation agreements
- Represent company director at AAA arbitration
- Routinely secure favorable results on dispositive motions in both federal and state court
