Paul Sigar is an associate in Goodwin’s Technology industry group. He specialises in Strategic Technology Transactions and Licensing and Data, Privacy & Cybersecurity. Paul joined Goodwin in 2026.

Paul advises on complex technology and outsourcing transactions, including large-scale digital transformation and systems integration projects, software licensing and cloud services arrangements, strategic technology partnerships, commercialisation arrangements, and digital infrastructure projects such as colocation agreements and network rollouts.

He also helps clients navigate regulatory issues and manage risk across artificial intelligence, intellectual property, privacy, data governance, and cyber incident response. In addition, Paul regularly advises businesses and private equity sponsors on the intellectual property, technology, and data protection aspects of M&A transactions, investments, and carve-outs.

Paul Sigar is admitted to practice in Australia only and works under the supervision of England-admitted partners at Goodwin.

Paul is a member of the Queensland Law Society and a non-executive director of the ASEAN-Australia Strategic Youth Partnership, an Australian-registered charity.

He was a previous committee member of the Queensland Law Society’s AI in Legal Practice Consulting Committee and the Law Society of South Australia’s Space Law Committee and Legal Technology Committee.

Prior to joining Goodwin, Paul was a senior associate in Corrs Chambers Westgarth’s Band 1 Technology, Media and Telecommunications practice group.
