Wrongful Convictions: Litigating and Preventing

“Wrongful Convictions: Litigating and Preventing” seeks to educate attorneys, judges, law enforcement officers, and members of the general public regarding the vulnerabilities in the criminal justice system that make the criminal conviction of wholly innocent persons possible. In two successive Thursday afternoon sessions, state and federal court judges and leading practitioners in the area, both prosecutors and defense attorneys, will explore ways of improving the criminal justice system in order to prevent the grievous injustice of wrongful convictions.

Jennifer L. Chunias, a partner in Goodwin Procter’s Litigation Department, will serve as faculty for this program. Ms. Chunias specializes in white collar criminal defense, False Claims Act litigation and investigations, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act compliance and investigations, securities fraud, health care fraud, and complex business and financial litigation.
