On March 24, 2015, the U.S. Supreme Court issued its decision in B&B Hardware, Inc. v. Hargis Industries, Inc., which addressed when a decision of the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board may also bind a federal district court, through the doctrine of issue preclusion.
