Coronavirus Visitor Policies

To ensure the safety of all our colleagues, clients and visitors in Goodwin offices around the globe during the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak, the firm has adopted the following visitor policies.

Additional Information

All U.S. Offices

All visitors to our U.S. offices must be pre-approved by the relevant Office Chair at least 48 hours in advance of a visit. Your Goodwin contact will seek that approval, and you will receive an electronic form asking you to certify and affirm the following each day that you plan to visit a Goodwin office:

  • You are not sick.
  • In the last 14 days, you have not experienced any of the following COVID-19 symptoms: a cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fever, chills, muscle pain, sore throat, new loss of taste or smell, gastrointestinal symptoms like nausea, vomiting or diarrhea.
  • In the past 14 days, you have not knowingly had close contact (within 6 feet for any notable period of time) with anyone diagnosed with COVID-19 or experiencing COVID-19 symptoms.
  • In the past 14 days, you have not traveled internationally by any means nor have you traveled anywhere by plane.
  • In the past 14 days, you have not tested positive for COVID-19 or otherwise been directed to self-isolate for any reason.
  • If you have tested positive for COVID-19 at any time, you have since had at least two follow-up FDA-approved tests to determine if you are still contagious and have received two negative test results in a row, for tests that were taken at least 24 hours apart.
  • You comply with all state and local social distancing requirements.
  • You comply with state and local requirements regarding wearing a mask in public settings when social distancing is difficult to maintain or may not be possible, including, without limitation, while commuting on public transportation.
  • You agree that you will leave the office immediately, and notify the individual you are visiting as soon as you are able,  if you develop symptoms while visiting Goodwin’s offices.
  • If you test positive for COVID-19 or have symptoms of COVID-19 within 14 days of visiting a Goodwin office, you will immediately notify the Goodwin individual you were visiting.
  • If, after visiting Goodwin’s offices, you become aware that, in the 14 days prior to your visit, you had close contact with someone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19 or is having symptoms of COVID-19, you will immediately notify the Goodwin individual you were visiting.

When completing the health status affirmation form, you may request to be notified if a Goodwin partner, employee or visitor with whom you likely interacted at Goodwin tests positive for COVID-19 within 14 days of your visit.

Please note that if you do not intend to complete the form before entering our office, we ask that you please refrain from visiting. If you have any questions or concerns, or if anything is unclear, please direct these to your Goodwin contact. UK Offices

To ensure the safety of all our colleagues, clients and visitors during the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak, the firm has adopted the following visitor policy for its UK offices.

Visitors must obtain approval from their Goodwin contact at least 48 hours in advance of visiting our offices. Upon approval, we ask that visitors use the electronic form provided to certify and affirm each of the following every day that they plan to visit a Goodwin office: 

  • You are not currently experiencing, and at no point in the last 14 days, have you experienced any of the following COVID-19 symptoms: a cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fever, chills, muscle pain, sore throat, new loss of taste or smell, gastrointestinal symptoms like nausea, vomiting or diarrhea.
  • In the past 14 days, you have not knowingly had close contact (within two metres for any notable period of time) with anyone diagnosed with COVID-19 or experiencing COVID-19 symptoms.
  • In the past 14 days, you have not traveled internationally by any means.
  • In the past 14 days, you have not tested positive for COVID-19 or otherwise been directed to self-isolate for any reason.
  • If you have tested positive for COVID-19 at any time, you confirm it has been 7 days since you first had COVID-19 symptoms and you no longer have a temperature.  
  • You comply with all Public Health England social distancing guidelines.
  • You comply with all Public Health England guidelines, which require one to wear a mask at all times on public transport and recommend that one wear a mask where possible in other enclosed public spaces where social distancing isn’t possible and where one will come into contact with people one does not normally meet.  
  • You agree that you will leave the office immediately and thereafter notify the individual you were visiting immediately if you develop COVID-19 related symptoms while visiting Goodwin’s offices. 
  • If you test positive for COVID-19 or have symptoms of COVID-19 within 14 days of visiting a Goodwin office, you will immediately notify the Goodwin individual you were visiting. 
  • If, after visiting Goodwin’s offices, you became aware that, in the 14 days prior to your visit, you had close contact with someone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19 or is having symptoms of COVID-19, you will immediately notify the Goodwin individual you were visiting.

You will also be asked to provide us with the:

  • Date you are visiting
  • Office you are visiting
  • Name of Goodwin partner or employee you are visiting

Please note that we will process your personal data on the basis of your explicit consent, which will be sought through the electronic form that will be provided to you. If you do not intend to complete the form before entering our offices, we ask that you please refrain from visiting.  If you have any questions or concerns, or if anything is unclear, please direct these to your Goodwin contact. The electronic form will include more information about how we process your personal data collected through the form.

Paris

Hong Kong

To ensure the safety of all our colleagues, clients and visitors during the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak, the firm and the office building has adopted the following visitor policy for office visit.

Visitors must wear masks and pass through the temperature screen point at the lift lobby as guided by the building management team.  Prior to the visit, visitors will need to read through the visitor policy and fill in the electronic health form each time when they plan to visit the Goodwin office:

  • You are not currently experiencing, and at no point in the last 14 days, have you experienced any of the following COVID-19 symptoms: a cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fever, chills, muscle pain, sore throat, new loss of taste or smell, gastrointestinal symptoms like nausea, vomiting or diarrhea.
  • In the past 14 days, you have not knowingly had close contact (within two metres for any notable period of time) with anyone diagnosed with COVID-19 or experiencing COVID-19 symptoms.
  • In the past 14 days, you have not traveled internationally by any means.
  • In the past 14 days, you have not tested positive for COVID-19 or otherwise been directed to self-isolate for any reason.
  • You comply with social distancing guidelines.
  • You comply with the Center of Health department guidelines, which recommend that one wear a mask where possible in other enclosed public spaces where social distancing isn’t possible and where one will come into contact with people one does not normally meet.  
  • You agree that you will leave the office immediately and thereafter notify the individual you were visiting immediately if you develop COVID-19 related symptoms while visiting Goodwin’s offices.
