The National Law Journal announced that Brett Schuman has been selected as a 2020 Cannabis Law Trailblazer. The third edition of the Cannabis Law Trailblazers profiles the most influential lawyers in the rapidly expanding sector.
The National Law Journal highlighted Schuman’s ongoing representation of leading edibles company Kiva Brands in what is considered one of the first federal trademark infringement cases involving cannabis-based products. The publication also noted his representation of Raw Garden on trademark infringement matters, and his success as lead counsel for electronic vaporizer company PAX Labs in multidistrict litigation across the country.
A partner in the firm’s IP Litigation group and chair of the San Francisco office, Schuman is the founder and co-head of Goodwin’s Cannabis practice.
