As you begin your university studies, you will be immersed in a world of academic learning and knowledge relevant to the legal sector. Our programme provides you with the opportunity to focus on and leverage essential skills, career guidance, hands-on work experience, ongoing mentoring, and additional financial support.
You will leave our three-year programme with valuable mentors, a large professional and social network, and a perspective of what it’s like to work in law and at Goodwin.
Pursuing Our Programme
To be eligible, you must fulfill the below criteria at the time of application:
- Be in year 13 at a state (non-fee paying) school, college or academy
- Be actively applying to study law at a UK university
You must also fulfill one or more of the following:
- First-generation in your immediate family to attend university
- Have been or are eligible for free school meals
- Your school has 20% or more students eligible for free school meals
- Spent time in local authority care
- Have refugee or asylum seeker status
- Have been or are a parent or registered carer
Gaining Valuable Experience
Mentorship
We match you with one of our experienced lawyers who will serve as your trusted mentor. They will be able to offer advice and guidance throughout the programme.
Work Experience
We provide opportunities for you to see the exciting work we do in our firm, and give you access and exposure to hands-on work experience.
Scholarship
We will provide you with a scholarship of £3,750 per year of your three-year law degree.
Skills Sessions
We commit to your professional development, which begins on day one. Throughout the three-year programme, we will provide skills sessions that complement your university learning.
Career Guidance
We work closely with you to understand your interests and career goals as they continue to develop, and guide you through your studies into the world of work.
