Goodwin partner Chris Wilson has been named to the Boston Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 for 2020. The annual list, now in its twenty-third year, honors the best and brightest young achievers, innovators and leaders who have helped to make Boston a business powerhouse.
Wilson is a member of Goodwin’s Private Equity group and serves as Co-Chair of the firm’s Healthcare practice. He specializes in advising private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies in a variety of transactions, including leveraged buyouts, mergers and acquisitions, recapitalizations, growth equity investments, strategic transactions, joint ventures and general corporate matters.
In addition to his practice, Wilson is on the leadership team of Goodwin’s Committee on Racial and Ethnic Diversity (CRED) in Boston, where he focuses on the firm’s diversity and inclusion efforts. He also co-founded and remains involved in Goodwin’s naturalization pro bono program, which organizes free legal clinics that assist underprivileged lawful permanent residents, primarily from communities of color, in navigating the naturalization process. Wilson has previously been named a Top Lawyer Under 40 by the Hispanic National Bar Association, a Mergers & Acquisitions Trailblazer by The National Law Journal and an Emerging Leader by The M&A Advisor.
The year’s class of 40 Under 40 recipients were selected from over 400 applicants, and represent for-profit, non-profit and governmental organizations across numerous industries. The winners will be honored for their contributions at an upcoming virtual event in October.
