The Paris Life Sciences team advised Owlo, a spin-off of the Institut Langevin, on its €1.5 million fundraising, dedicated to the development of an innovative microscope for in vitro fertilization (IVF).
The round was led by Daphni, and included the new life sciences-focused business angel club Cercle de Chiron, IXCore Group (founded by Hervé Arditty, former iXblue), FI8C (Thibault Courthéoux of Nanolive), and lawyer Alain Decombe (Dechert).
Founded in 2024, Owlo is a deeptech specializing in non-invasive, 3D, real-time cellular imaging applied to in vitro fertilization (IVF). The start-up is developing an innovative microscope module, combined with software and AI, and is based on research conducted at the Institut Langevin under the supervision of CNRS, with the aim of improving the selection of oocytes and embryos. Owlo aims to obtain the CE certification in order to launch its clinical deployment in 2026.
The Goodwin team was composed of Anne-Charlotte Rivière and Joséphine Remoussenard on corporate matters, as well as Marie Fillon on IP matters.
