Chi Pan is a partner in the firm’s Business Law Department and a member of its Private Equity group. Ms. Pan joined Goodwin in 2016.

Ms. Pan focuses on cross border transactions for private equity firms and portfolio companies and has extensive experience in M&A (leveraged buyouts, stock and asset sales and joint ventures), early and late stage venture capital and growth equity investments. Her transactional work spans several industries, including life sciences, technology, healthcare, financial services and manufacturing.

Prior to joining Goodwin, Ms. Pan was in the Mergers & Acquisitions Practice at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP in New York.

In addition to English, Ms. Pan is a native Mandarin Chinese speaker and a published Chinese author.

  • FountainVest Partners in connection with its acquisition of China-based logistics enterprise CJ Rokin Logistics and Supply Chain.

The Nielsen IPO on which Ms. Pan worked was awarded the IFLR Equity Deal of the Year in 2012.

While attending Yale Law School, Ms. Pan was awarded the Chubb Competition Prize for excellence in legal draftsmanship.
