Goodwin Procter’s Intellectual Property Group recently won Law360’s annual “Practice Groups of the Year – Intellectual Property” award for 2014. The award recognizes those firms that succeeded for their clients in significant deals and/or litigation wins during the previous year. Law360 received hundreds of submissions for its annual awards with only nine honorees selected for the “Practice Groups of the Year – Intellectual Property” award.
Achievements for Goodwin’s IP Group included a Supreme Court argument; three trial wins; a victory at the ITC; a precedent-setting decision from the Patent Trial and Appeal Board; and a collection of summary judgment and appellate wins.
“I am proud of the success and growth of our practice this year,” said Douglas Kline, chair of Goodwin’s Intellectual Property Practice. “It is rewarding to be recognized by Law360 for the outstanding achievements we’ve realized on behalf of our clients.”
In addition to its success for clients, Goodwin’s IP Group recently added a five-partner,11-attorney team from Kenyon & Kenyon in New York, and expanded its West coast team to include partner Brett Schuman.
