The London Real Estate Industry team recently assisted Kennedy Wilson Europe (part of the NYSE listed Kennedy Wilson group), on its joint venture arrangements with AXA Investment Managers - Real Assets (“AXA IM - Real Assets”), pursuant to which AXA IM - Real Assets acquired a 50% interest in three individual/segregated property owning sub-funds of an existing Irish regulated qualified alternative investment fund holding company, which ultimately owns Capital Dock, an Irish mixed use campus, and the adjoining State Street building. Kennedy Wilson will continue to act as asset manager for the mixed-use campus.
Capital Dock is one of the largest, single-phase developments built in Ireland, and is creating a new urban quarter in Dublin.
The transaction exchanged on April 18, 2019, and after European Commission merger clearance was obtained, completed on June 6, 2019.
Kennedy Wilson (NYSE:KW) is a global real estate investment company that owns, operates, and invests in real estate both on their own and through its investment management platform. The company focuses on multifamily and office properties located in the Western U.S., UK, and Ireland.
The Goodwin team was led by partners David Evans and James Spence, and included associates Raymond Fang and Tessa Parkes and trainee Naomi Garton.
