Goodwin’s Paris Investment Funds and Capital team advised Jolt Capital, a leading European investor in deeptech growth companies, on the acquisition of Mirova’s private equity business, comprising the Mirova Environment Acceleration Capital (MEAC) and Mirova Impact Life Essentials (MILE) funds.
As part of the transaction, both funds’ dedicated teams and entire investment portfolios will transfer to Jolt Capital, which will assume management of the funds. Their investment strategies and impact objectives will remain unchanged.
The acquisition expands Jolt Capital’s investment platform further upstream, enabling the firm to support European advanced technology companies generating between €3 million and €10 million in revenue. This segment is directly adjacent to the investment universe of Jolt Capital’s existing growth funds, which target deeptech scale-ups with revenues above €10 million.
MEAC invests in early-growth companies across Europe addressing major environmental challenges. MILE invests in unlisted growth companies in France and across Europe that combine proven business models with innovative, technology-driven solutions to social and societal challenges. Together, these strategies will strengthen the impact focus of Jolt Capital’s investment platform.
The Goodwin team advising Jolt Capital included Sarah Michel, Maxime Hemled, Faustia Gaspar Ferreira, Olivia Doble, and Camille Vignon on fund matters.
