Daily Journal Names Grant Fondo A Top White Collar Lawyer

Goodwin partner Grant Fondo has been named a Top White Collar Lawyer for 2020 by Daily Journal. This recognition honors California-based practitioners working on the most impactful and significant matters in the White Collar field.

A former federal prosecutor and Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Northern District of California, Fondo is the head of the Litigation Department for Goodwin’s California offices, founder and Co-Chair of its Digital Currency & Blockchain Technology practice, and a partner in the firm's Securities Litigation & White Collar Defense group and Privacy & Cybersecurity practice. His decades of experience, reputation with former prosecutors, and status as a national leader in digital currency and blockchain-related matters have allowed him to successfully advise high-profile blockchain and digital currency companies, venture capital and private equity firms, technology companies, and individuals including CEOs and directors in regards to criminal, SEC, FinCEN and CFTC investigations, cyber-hacking matters, and internal investigations.

Throughout his career, Fondo has repeatedly been recognized for excellence by leading market commentators such as Chambers USA, Chambers FinTech, The Legal 500 US, and Benchmark Litigation. He has been named a National Law Journal Trailblazer for both White Collar and Cryptocurrency, and was selected as Litigator of the Week by The American Lawyer for his successful defense at trial of former J.P. Morgan Securities LLC analyst Ashish Aggarwal on 30 counts of criminal conspiracy, insider trading, and wire fraud charges.
