Goodwin has advised “The FIZZ Student Housing SCS” on the sale of a portfolio consisting of five student apartment buildings in Germany and Austria to International Campus Group ("IC"). The sale was executed as a share deal and is one of the largest student housing transactions in the German-speaking region in the last three years.
IC is a leader in the European student housing market and focuses on major cities with its student brand THE FIZZ. The properties are already operated under the IC brand "THE FIZZ" and comprise a total of around 1,900 beds and more than 73,000 square meters.
The transaction team from Frankfurt led by Markus Käpplinger consisted of Heiko Penndorf, Jochen Schnepper, Robert Jochim, Bastian Schmack and Nadine Gommel as well as Luxembourg colleagues Oana Millich.
