Global law firm Goodwin announced today that Darryl M. Woo, a veteran trial lawyer for the technology industry, has joined the firm as a partner in its award-winning Intellectual Property practice resident in the firm’s San Francisco office.

“Darryl has an outstanding reputation as a leading lawyer who litigates and tries complex technology disputes,” said Douglas Kline, chair of Goodwin’s Intellectual Property practice. “He joins fellow Goodwin first chair trial lawyers Brett Schuman and Neel Chatterjee in the Bay Area, where we have established a strong foothold and built exciting momentum that continues to attract premier clients and cases. We are excited to welcome Darryl to the Goodwin partnership.”

“I am thrilled to be joining Goodwin’s intellectual property litigation team in Northern California,” said Woo. “Together with Brett and Neel, and now as three first chair trial lawyers under one roof in the Bay Area, I look forward to bringing our combined experience and expertise for the benefit of our current and future clients.”

Woo has earned a number of industry accolades. He was named to The Best Lawyers in America, Managing Intellectual Property’s IP Stars, and IAM Patent 1000 Lists of the World’s Leading Patent Practitioners.
