Goodwin Names 40 New Partners

Global law firm Goodwin today announced that 40 lawyers have been elected to the firm’s partnership, effective immediately.

The newly elected partners include:

	Mohammed Alvi (Private Equity, Los Angeles) focuses on the representation of borrowers, issuers, lenders, and underwriters in connection with debt financing and debt capital markets transactions.
	Glynn Barwick (Financial Industry, London) advises clients on a range of regulatory matters under the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000, the Financial Conduct Authority’s Rules, and EU financial services regulatory issues.
	Barry Bazian (Financial Restructuring, New York) represents corporate debtors, equity sponsors, secured and unsecured creditors, asset purchasers, committees, and other parties-in-interest in out-of-court restructurings, bankruptcy proceedings, and insolvency-related matters.
	Aaron Berman (Technology, Boston) concentrates in general corporate and securities law and has significant experience in capital markets transactions, M&A, venture capital financings, SEC compliance, and corporate governance.
	Naomi Birbach (Intellectual Property Litigation, New York) focuses her practice on patent litigation in federal courts nationwide. She has expertise across a broad range of technologies, including pharmaceuticals, telecommunications, and software.
	Michelle Treadwell Briggs (eDiscovery, Boston) advises Goodwin clients and lawyers on legal, technical, and strategic issues involving electronic discovery and information management. She has experience managing all aspects of discovery and subpoena compliance.
	Nathan Brodeur (Environmental, Boston) assists private equity firms, institutional investors, financial institutions, and real estate developers in identifying, allocating, and mitigating environmental risks associated with business and real estate acquisitions, divestitures, and financings.
	Matthew Cognetti (Private Equity, New York) focuses on the representation of private equity sponsors and private companies in the structuring, negotiation, and implementation of complex transactions, including mergers, asset and stock acquisitions and divestitures, leveraged recapitalizations, equity financings, and other general corporate matters
	Kim de Glossop (Technology, Silicon Valley) specializes in corporate and securities laws, with a primary focus on debt and equity capital markets transactions. He represents investment banks and issuers on a range of corporate finance transactions, including initial public offerings, convertible and investment grade debt offerings, tender offers, and exchange offers.
	Robert Dzialo (Technology, Boston) advises clients on a wide array of corporate matters, including M&A, venture capital and growth equity financings, public securities offerings, corporate restructurings, and other strategic transactions.
	Lynette Elam (Private Investment Funds, Boston) advises and represents clients with respect to all aspects of the structuring and operation of private funds across asset classes, with a primary focus on private equity funds. She counsels on fund structuring and capital raising strategies as well as day-to-day legal compliance and investor facing matters.
	Daniel Espinoza (Special Purpose Acquisition Companies, Silicon Valley) advises clients in all aspects of the SPAC lifecycle, including forming and structuring sponsor entities, representing SPACs and sponsors in initial public offerings; and representing operating companies, their investors, and SPACs in business combinations. He is co-chair of the SPAC practice.
